Ivanka Trump is officially stepping down from her fashion brand

Ivanka Trump announced today in a Facebook post that she would be stepping down from the Trump Organization and from her own brand in order to “take time to settle our three young children into their new home and schools” in Washington D.C. We assume that means she has to buy a lot more artwork to decorate her new house with.

Ironically, Ivanka noted in her Facebook message that one of the issues she was “deeply passionate about” was “unleashing the potential of women in the workplace,” which sounds rather different than her plan to hang around the house all day while her husband, Jared Kushner, performs his new job of Senior Advisor to the President.

Don’t worry, though, because Ivanka isn’t finished working forever; she also promises in her message that she will “determine the most impactful and appropriate ways for me to serve our country.”

We can’t wait to find out what that means…
