Novak Djokovic buys two Soho pads without tennis courts

Tennis champion Novak Djokovic is playing doubles.

The Serbian 12-time Grand Slam winner has bought himself two two-bedroom apartments at Renzo Piano’s 565 Broome Street, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Though the broker declined to share how much he paid for the apartments, two-bedroom units in the building are selling for around $5.4 million. The units are not on the same floor, so Djokovic won’t be combining them.

565 Broome Street will consist of two towers and will be completed in 2018. It will offer residents a saltwater swimming pool and a “glass-enclosed conservatory,” but unfortunately, no tennis courts.

“I love the design of these two buildings and their location is fantastic,” Mr. Djokovic said in a statement to the Journal. “Both New York and Miami are on my travel list every year and it will be exciting to have a place to come back to.” He also recently bought a unit at Eighty Seven Park in Miami Beach, which was done by the same developer, Bizzi & Partners Development.
