Santigold wasn’t kidding when she sang “Brooklyn We Go Hard.”
The pop star has just listed her townhouse in Bedford Stuyvestant in Brooklyn for $1.95 million, and looking at the photos, it seems she did not pull back in decorating it.
The listing, which was first spotted by 6sqft, notes that the apartment is “Daring. Dramatic. Bold. Beautiful.” which we would have to agree with. It has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, five fireplaces, a mahogany staircase, parquet floors, raw silk walls, a garden, stained glass windows and loads of other beautiful details like a clawfoot tub, decorative arches, a totally marbelized bath and gold leaf everywhere. While we’re not sure this apartment is for everybody, it certainly befits someone with a rock-and-roll lifestyle.
Santigold bought the property under her legal name Santi White in 2010 for $775,000, according to city records. She is best known for her songs “Creator,” “Lights Out” and “L.E.S Artistes,” and she released her latest album in February 2016. [6sqft]
