We announced earlier in January that Trump’s “locker room” buddy Billy Bush sold his Chelsea townhouse at 224 West 22nd Street. The home was last listed for $8.2 million, and we now know that it closed for $7.4 million. Less than the asking price and much less than the $8.8 million Bush paid for the place about a year ago.
The buyer is listed as Thomas Anthony Holdings LLC, reports the Wall Street Journal.
According to the listing, the 4,300-square-foot house has pre-approved plans and is ready for renovation, with potential for a movie theater, wine cellar or gym (pick your poison), as well as a plunge pool and jacuzzi on the roof. It has five bedrooms and six bathrooms.
Bush was suspended from the “Today” show after the tape of him and Trump talking behind the scenes at “Access Hollywood” became public in October, and he was later fired from the show. It is unclear why he decided to sell the townhouse. [WSJ]
