All the fluffy dresses at haute couture fashion week are kind of scaring us

We’re not sure what woman wakes up and thinks, “I want to look like wedding cake today!” But fashion designers at haute couture fashion week, which is happening now in Paris, sure seem to think that somebody does because we’ve never seen so many fluffy, froufrou gowns grace the runway before.

We certainly see why these dresses would appeal to ladies looking to hide some flab or a spare million dollars they don’t want to give the IRS. But to us, they just look like something to trip over on your way to the bathroom at a gala. And lord help us if J.Law gets her hands on one of these gowns because you know that girl is going to fall down the minute she steps into it.

Don’t believe us? Just take a look at how Lily Rose Depp is clinging to Karl Lagerfeld’s arm like her life depends on it as she glides down the runway like a piece of cotton candy blowing in the wind. It all looks beautiful — until somebody gets hurt.
