After silencing a hugely successful website with millions of dedicated readers, Hulk Hogan and his Trump supporting man behind the curtain, Peter Theil, are getting the very own movie!
Netflix is reportedly nearing a deal for a new documentary on the unprecedented battle between gossip website Gawker and Hulk Hogan, according to the New York Post.
Netflix is outbid four other outlets for the film titled, “Nobody Speak: Hulk Hogan, Gawker and Trials of a Free Press,” according to Deadline.com.
The film premieres at the Sundance festival today and it explores the delicate balance between the right to privacy and First Amendment rights.
In case you don’t remember, Hogan was awarded a $140 judgement against Gawker, which had published his sex tape. That amount was eventually settled for $31 million, but it destroyed the popular site. Silicon Valley billionaire Peter Thiel, who was outed as gay by the site, was revealed to be the force behind the lawsuit.
