The financial district continues to draw some of the hottest chefs in town. From Keith McNally’s Augustine to Nicolas Abello’s Michelin-starred L’Appart, hungry bankers who used to have to schlep all the way to Tribeca for a good meal now have plenty of choice in the neighborhood where they work.

The latest restauranteurs to try their hand in the area are Daniel Humm and Will Guidara, the masterminds behind the Nomad and Eleven Madison Park, who just announced that they will also opening a new restaurant in the Westfield Shopping Center.

According to the Times, the restaurant will take up 7,000 square feet of the ground floor of the 3 World Trade Center Tower and will overlook the Oculus. There is no name or designer for the restaurant yet, but the Times says it will be “casual but high profile.”

Humm and Guidara’s Make It Nice restaurant group is pretty busy with a number of projects; they’re opening another branch of their Nomad restaurant in the new LA version of the Nomad hotel; a two-story restaurant at 425 Park Avenue; and a “fast-casual” spot in NoMad. [NYT]
