Kim Kardashian might out of luck when it comes to being reunited with most of the jewelry that was stolen from her during an armed robbery in Paris last year.
According to Page Six, Aomar Ait Khedache, the 60-year-old that allegedly coordinated the heist, confessed to investigators that most of the bling taken was liquidized and turned into metal bars in Antwerp, Belgium.
Kardashian’s engagement ring though — reportedly worth around $4 million — escaped that cruel fate.
“There is a person who has it,” Khedache reportedly said. “Everyone was afraid to sell because it’s a stone that’s very easily spotted.”
Khedache also reportedly noted that social media was beneficial to the thieves.
“She specified that she didn’t wear fakes, the schedules when she came to France,” he said. “It was enough to look on the internet to know everything, absolutely everything.”
