“Donaeld The Unready” is Twitter’s funniest and nerdiest Trump parody account

His penchant for authoritarian policy and the relish with which he signs life altering executive orders has caused many critics to compare President Donald Trump to Emperor Augustus. But maybe the more apt comparison is to a medieval king.

A parody account on Twitter called, Donaeld The Unready, is firing out Trumpian zingers in the language of a medieval monarch.

Donaeld The Unready wants many of the same things President Trump does. He wants to drain the swamp, just in this case its the the East Anglian fens. He wants to build a “shield” wall to protect his sceptered isle. And just like the real Trump, he attacks “fake chroniclers” and “fake bards.”

“The best early medieval King out there,” reads his Twitter bio. “I’m just great. I’m the bretwalda. The bestwalda. I’ve got great swords, everyone says so. Make Mercia Great Again.”

Here are 11 of Donaeld The Unready’s greatest missives for making “Mercia” great again. (By the way, Mercia is one of the kingdoms of the Anglo-Saxon Heptarchy in case you didn’t know. Sad!)
