LongHouse Reserve honors Barack Obama Presidential Center designers at winter gala
LongHouse Reserve, East Hampton’s non-profit arboretum, art museum, sculpture garden, and educational organization, honored patrons last week with a Winter Benefit at the David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center.
LongHouse gave special recognition to Tod Williams and Billie Tsien, the designers of the Barack Obama Presidential Center.
Guests included architect Steven Holl, Calvin Tsao and Zack McKown, artists Helena Hernmarck, Shen Wei, Eleanor Alper, Ron Kaplan, Toni Ross, Adelaide De Menil, Louis and Jane Gropp, Deborah Nevins, Sherri Donghia, Peter Olsen, Alexandra Munroe, Mark and Elizabeth Levine, Lee Skolnick, Nina Gillman, Jane and David Walentas.
As guests gathered in the atrium, which wasalso designed by the honorees, contributing Editor for Vanity Fair, Paul Goldberger took to the stage to present the LongHouse Award.
Attendees were then treated to the first private screening of “Larsenworld: Longhouse in East Hampton,” a film created by LongHouse.
