Christian Louboutin thief only stole one boot

We’re assuming a one legged, sticky fingered, designer shoe admirer is the person behind the theft of a single Christian Louboutin shoe worth more than $1,000.

The incident actually happened in December, DNAinfo reports, but staff at the Christian Louboutin store at 965 Madison Avenue only discovered it while reviewing security footage earlier this month.

The culprit is described as a woman dressed in all black with a black scarf around her face. She reportedly placed the thigh-high Harleyda 55 boot, in size 36, in a shopping bag and left the store without incident.

The studded, black suede boot has a 55 millimeter heel, a classic red sole and would be valued at $2,695… as a pair. But alas by nabbing just one boot the thief has undoubtably cut its resale value.

Hapless crimes might just be on the rise in New York City. Last September a bucket of gold flakes worth $1.6 million was stolen from the back of a unguarded armored truck. The wannabe leprechaun was later caught.
