Record producer Clive Davis ready to part with $7.8M Midtown co-op

Big-deal record producer Clive Davis is bidding farewell to his swanky Park Avenue co-op and he’s asking $7.8 million for it.

The three bedroom spread at 465 Park Avenue stared life as two units, which Davis bought in 2015 for a combined total of $3.4 million.

According to listing brokers Gina Sabio and Sherri Balassone of Corcoran — who have the listing with Eva Mohr of Sotheby’s International Realty — the producer tapped interior designer Greg Schriefer to overhaul and combine the two units into one sprawling 2,800-square-foot spread. And Sabio and Balassone told LLNYC that Schriefer gutted the pads and turned them into a contemporary version of “classic, old New York.” The renovations, they said, have just been completed.

The duplex now comes with a chef’s kitchen with quartzite counter tops, an open plan living and dining area, a master suite with a walk-in dressing area and closet and a full-size custom coiled staircase, which took nine months to complete.

Davis, who is currently chief creative officer of Sony Music Entertainment, owns multiple other units in the building city records show. But he hasn’t spent too much time in this one though. “Nobody has lived in it,” Sabio and Balassone said. The apartment was originally, “for a family member, but along the way things changed.”
