Around the world in 80 Properties: A modern beachside villa in Nicaragua

The best way to get to this beachside villa in Rivas, Nicaragua? Helicopter, says the listing, with Sotheby’s International.

And looking at the photos, we would say this home is well worth the trip. Priced at $2.495 million, the 3,529-square-foot house — named Casa Blanquita — is accessed via a stone tunnel with a white flower canopy. That relaxing and natural aesthetic continues when you enter the house, which features incredible views of the mountains and oceans, a Koi pond, an infinity edge swimming pool, a heated Jacuzzi tub and a landscaped garden. We love the way the interiors of the home incorporate the landscape, like the petrified wood covering the sink in one of the bathrooms.

The property is composed of three structures — a main master suite and two guest homes, which each have their own kitchens and bathrooms (there’s also a staff quarters set a little further back).  In total, there are six bedrooms, five full bathrooms and one half bathroom.

Oh, and in case you were wondering where you would park your helicopter after you make the trip here, the home also comes with its own helipad. Because of course it does.
