If your resume didn’t make the cut the last time there was a job vacancy at Buckingham Palace, don’t worry, a new royal position will be opening up. The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, is soon to be in need of a new private secretary.
The Duchess’ current right-hand woman, Rebecca Deacon, is ditching her post in the summer after 10 years of service to the royal family — five of those with Middleton.
The position isn’t just about becoming BFF’s with royals though. A private secretary’s duties include organizing official programs and engagements and ensuring Middleton is briefed on who she is going to meet, the Daily Mail reports.
No job listing has been posted yet, but last year the advertisement for a live-in housekeeping assistant at the palace noted a benefits package which included 33 days holiday and a 15 percent employer contribution pension scheme. Over a month of vacation days and one-on-one time with the Duchess? Where do we sign up?
