Nothing sells an apartment quite like a discount. Just ask Gwyneth Paltrow.

After a tumultuous time trying to consciously uncouple from her Tribeca pad, the Goop-founder and Academy Award winner added some enviable listing photos and chopped the price to a pinch under $10 million. Lo and behold, it looks as though it’s done the trick because the spread went into contract yesterday, as first noticed by the eagle-eyed reporters at Mansion Global.

Paltrow and her ex-husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, had listed the apartment at 416 Washington Street for $14.2 million last April. They chopped the price to $12.8 million in November 2016, then less than a month ago it was cut again to its current $9.9 million ask. The pair bought it in 2007 for a little more than $5.1 million.

The amount they’ll be raking in from the sale will remain a mystery until it has closed.

The 3,892-square-foot condo has three bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, 11-foot ceilings, a 500-square-foot decked terrace and French doors. The design duo Roman & Williams designed the apartment, and per a Goop article — in which we caught our first glimpse inside the pad — the apartment “floats above the cobblestone streets like a pale, dreamy cloud.”
