The day after Gwyneth Paltrow’s current Tribeca apartment went into contact, her previous abode in the same neighborhood has hit the market.
Paltrow, along with her ex-husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, bought unit 2 at 13 Harrison Street in 2005 for $7.9 million. The pair sold it in 2009 — the same year they dropped $5.1 million on their spread at 416 Washington Street — for $13.6 million, netting them almost $6 million profit.
Paltrow and Martin used “Orchard House, LLC” for both of the purchases, according to public records.
The six-bedroom quadruplex apartment has just hit the market, along with the smaller ground floor unit in the building, asking a pinch under $25 million. It’s being sold vacant, so there’s toothsome opportunity to create a single-family townhouse.
As a single family home, the spread will boast 11,842 square feet, seven bedrooms, an elevator, three wood-burning fireplaces, three laundry facilities, central air conditioning, large skylights galore, and 1,600-square-feet of outdoor space.
David Kornmeier of Brown Harris Stevens has the listing.
