Less than four years after changing hands for less than $20 million, the Upper East Side townhouse belonging to Italian fashion designer Luca Orlandi is back on the market, looking shiny, new and asking a cool $40 million.

Orlandi — who is married to supermodel Oluchi Onweagba — nabbed the 10,080-square-foot pad at 18 East 73rd Street for $19.7 million in 2013 under the name Orlandi Realty LLC, city records show. At the time the house was multi-family, and had been the setting of a rather lengthy conflict, which was detailed in an entertaining New York Times article.

The couple embarked on a major renovation, which appears to have involved the addition of a great deal of marble and the removal of any of the house’s previous character. It also explains the sizable asking price.

The spread now comes with six bedrooms, a high speed elevator, an eat in kitchen, a formal dining room, a full-floor master suite, a south facing garden and a roof garden too.

The same year the couple bought this house, they sold another to Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos for $27 million.
