Bestselling author Christopher Pavone and President of Penguin Publishing Madeline McIntosh have listed their Greenwich Village apartment at 42 West 9th Street for $2.9 million, per StreetEasy records.

The listing, with Susan Green and Rory Nichols of Town Residential, notes that the apartment has three bedrooms (one of them is currently being used as a library), two bathrooms, herringbone floors, 10-foot ceilings, built-in bookshelves, a fireplace and pocket doors. The master bedroom is also ovular, which is a unique detail that we kind of love. The couple paid just over $1.8 million for the apartment in 2011.

Pavone is the author of the bestselling novel, “The Expats,” which won the 2013 Edgar award. He has also written “The Accident” and “The Travelers.” Madeline McIntosh became the president of Penguin in 2014, and oversees Penguin’s adult publishing business in the United States.

In an interview with the Times in 2014, Pavone insisted that his wife does not offer notes on his books. “She is a supportive reader, but I’m not looking to her for critical comments. I don’t want them. There are plenty of people in my life who can tear my manuscript to shreds. I don’t need to go to bed with one of them.”
