Tyra Banks lists super-sized Battery Park City pad for $18M

We’re sure whoever buys this unit will be smizing big time. “America’s Next Top Model” creator and supermodel extraordinaire Tyra Banks has just listed her apartment at 2 River Terrace for $17.5 million, per the New York Times.

Banks paid a little more than $10 million for the apartment in 2009, but since she has been spending more time on the West Coast, she has been renting it out for $50,000-a-month since May 2015 and is now ready to sell (though the rental listing will remain). Banks told the Times that she “will miss the feeling of having a home in the sky.”

The enormous, 7,000-square-foot home is a combo unit of four different apartments on the 22nd and 23rd floors. Banks renovated the apartment after she bought it, creating private wings for staff and guests that can be closed off. It has five bedrooms, five bathrooms and “several kitchens and kitchenettes.” One of those kitchens has banquette seating that Banks said was meant to resemble “a booth at a Michelin-starred restaurant.” There’s also sweeping views of the Hudson and a gym.
