Summering in the Hamptons? Why not check out this $55M mansion

If you still haven’t nabbed your Hamptons summer house, here’s one for your consideration: an eight-bedroom, $55-million-spread in Southampton Village.

Found at 382 Barons Lane, the house hit the market earlier this week.

Built in 1991 and designed by Eric Woodward, the property sits on roughly four-and-a-half acres and spans 8,225 square feet. It comes with multiple fireplaces, a great room, a formal dining room, large windows, a morning room, a roof deck, a pool, and views of the ocean as well as fields and ponds.

“It’s very private. It’s got a lot of frontage on the ocean,” said listing agent Harald Grant, to Realtor.com.

While he declined to confirm the current seller, public records indicate the place was last sold in 2004 for $19 million. Roone Arledge, the late broadcasting executive, owned the house previously.

Last week, renderings were released of a $45 million spec house with a transparent pool that is planned for nearby Bridgehampton.
