A restored single-family townhouse in Greenwich Village sold for $8.1 million this week.
The 3,700 square-foot residence at 23 Downing Street had been on the market for almost two years before landing a buyer, who had not been disclosed.
Developer Good Property LLC previously bought the four-bedroom, five-bath home in 2011 for $3.995 million. Good Property hired Turett Collaborative Architects to renovate the property before putting it back on the market in June 2012.
The five-floor townhouse was originally built in 1826 and has an original restored façade and 900 square feet of exterior space, which includes a private garden and rooftop terrace.
The landmark property also features salvaged wide plank oak flooring and updated plumbing fixtures and fittings. [Curbed] —TRD
