The war between Geoffrey Zakarian and President Trump is over

President “I-don’t-settle” Trump just settled once again. This time the Trump Organization has reached an agreement with celebrity chef and LLNYC cover star Geoffrey Zakarian.

Trump sued Zakarian after he and restaurateur Jose Andres backed out of a deal to bring an eatery to Trump’s new D.C. Hotel. Zakarian and his partners said they wouldn’t be opening the restaurant following Trump racist comment regarding Mexican immigrants.

“Those remarks made it impossible for him to run a successful dining establishment in the Trump property,” the Washington Post reported at the time.

Initially, Trump intended to sue Zakarian for $10 million, but allegedly raised it to $14 million. Zakarian countersued, according to Eater.

But now, Zakarian is looking on the bright side, saying:

“With the recent opening of our new restaurant, Point Royal, in Fort Lauderdale as well as several other new restaurants in the pipeline. 2017 is already shaping up to be a hugely successful year for us.”
