The coffee of the future is clear as a bell

Forget your artisanal, hipster-gram $18 cups of coffee: the coffee of the future is as clear as a baby’s conscious.

At least, that’s what two Slovakian brothers — David and Adam Nagy — are hoping. They just created what they say is the world’s first clear coffee out of water and coffee beans, and are selling it under the label “CLR CFF.” Like regular coffee, they say, it will jolt you awake, but unlike regular coffee, it will not stain your teeth.

“We are heavy coffee drinkers. Like many other people we struggled with the teeth stains caused by it. There was nothing on the market that would suit our needs so we decided to create our own recipe,” David told the Evening Standard. The coffee is cold and strong, like a cold brew, and can be used in cocktails.

Sadly, the product seems to only be available in the UK for now (two 200ml bottles cost about $7.50). But we expect that this coffee trend — like all coffee trends — will be making its way to Brooklyn soon enough. [Standard]
