What happens when you cross an aggressively progressive movie star, the Gowanus Whole Foods, and a broken electric car charging station?
Angry Twitter is what happens, boys and girls. Maggie Gyllenhaal, proud Park Slope resident, did indeed take to that social media outlet when she noticed that the electric car charging station at the Gowanus Whole Foods was broken, and she just couldn’t take it anymore.

We understand Gyllenhaal’s concern. How are you supposed to enjoy your $20 organic, eco-conscious string beans if you aren’t able to drive away from the store in an electric vehicle?
Well, like most stories involving a celebrity, this one has a happy ending. Whole Foods did indeed respond to Gyllenhaal’s tweet the next day (April 7), asking which Whole Foods she was talking about (as if there was any question!), and Gyllenhaal took her sweet time responding, telling them today that it was the one in Gowanus. Since the power of celebrity is a powerful thing, we expect the charging station has already been fixed (a cashier confirmed as much to DNA Info). And so, everything is right with the world again.
