The Edible Schoolyard NYC foundation hosted their fifth annual spring benefit on Monday night at Metropolitan West.
The space was transformed by Bronson Van Wyck of Van Wyck & Van Wyck, who used flowers, herbs and potted plants to turn the hall into an enormous garden. Guests of the event included Waris Ahluwalia, actress Megan Boone, Jenna Lyons, James and Kathryn Murdoch, GQ Editor in Chief Jim Nelson, Ruth Reichl, designer Lela Rose, VICE Founder/CEO Shane Smith and CBS anchor Alex Wagner.
They enjoyed a delicious dinner (obviously) as well as a live auction where items like a “Skip the Line” all-access pass to 14 of the best restaurants in the world and a private dinner cooked by chef David Chang were auctioned off.
The event raised money for Edible Schoolyard NYC, which partners with public schools in New York to teach kids about gardening and eating healthy and sustainable foods.
