Inside the grand opening of the Kips Bay Decorator Show House: PHOTOS

This year the Kips Bay Decorator Show House – one of the top interior design events in New York City – set up shop at 125 East 65th Street. The interior design showcase is in its 45th year, and remains an impressive – and oh, so pretty – exhibition of furnishings, art and design.

This year’s featured designers include Powell & Bonnell, Kirsten Kelli, dineen architecture + design, Janice Parker and Nick Olsen, who each redesigned a room in the house.

125 East 65th Street is a former commercial building, primed and ready to be transformed back into a single family home. The 10,600-square-foot spread is on the market for $26.8 million, but unfortunately for future buyers, none of this swag will be included.

Over 1,000 guests attended the Show House’s opening night reception on the evening of

May 1st including Martha Stewart, John McEnroe, Show House Chair Bunny Williams, Show House Vice Chair Jamie Drake, Nicole Miller, Fran Drescher, Caryn Zucker, Chef David Burke and Dennis Basso.
