It looks like Taylor Swift is going to have her best 4th of July party yet this year.
Earlier this week, the Rhode Island Supreme Court ruled that landowners in part of Westerly are allowed to install fences in order to keep the public away from their two-mile stretch of beach. The attorney general’s office, along with environmental groups, argued that the beach was dedicated to the public over a century ago.
The court, however, disagreed because the beach is privately owned. Although the attorney general is disappointed with the ruling, he noted that this decision does not affect a state constitutional guarantee to access the shoreline.
We can bet that a private beach means even more Instagram material for Taylor and her squad, including Karlie Kloss, Blake Lively, Gigi Hadid and Cara Delevingne, to name a few.
Non-squad members who are Rhode Island neighbors of Taylor Swift just have to shake it off.
