Tomorrow, CB2, the modern home decor line owned by Crate & Barrel, will launch a new campaign that combines Pinterest with interior design. According to The New York Times, once CB2 discovered that most of their webpage vistiors were directed from the blockbuster digital bulletin board, they decided to leverage their social media presence. “APT CB2,” as the promo is called,” is the first time that an apartment is being designed through Pinterest in real time,” the ad man behind the campaign told the Times. Five renowned designers will decorate an unfurnished apartment at 873 Broadway near Union Square. Pinterest users will select among pieces of furniture recommended by the designers, and will ultimately decide which items will be used. A photographer will be on standby during the five-day design effort so that voters can see their decisions immediately materialize. Read more about it here.
