McDonald’s makes hipsters dreams come true with limited-edition line of Japanese clothing

For all those kombucha-drinking Brooklynites out there who want to be the coolest kid at Smorgasburg this summer, man do we have the accessories line for you.

No, it wasn’t weaved out of the back hair of a Tibetan monk, but rather comes from the most ironic of ironic sources: McDonald’s. And not just any McDonald’s, but McDonald’s in Japan.

We’re pretty sure a hipster’s beanie just exploded.

The limited-edition (of course) collection includes iPhone cases, tote bags, hats, t-shirts and pouches, all priced for the relatively reasonable fee of ¥3,900 (about $35). The items are available on the e commerce site rakuten, and only 300 pieces are available (they are being shipped around the world).

No matter how stupid these items may be, however, we do hope some hipsters take the bait; all the proceeds from the items go on to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities for sick kids. So that’s nice. [NYP]
