Vladimir Putin is a man known for many things, but horologist is not often the first word that springs to mind.

But perhaps it should, because according to Bloomberg, the Russian president is a downright watch connoisseur, and one of his time pieces is headed to auction.

The watch in question is a Patek Philippe 5208P, a watch exclusively sold to top clients of Patek and it retails for 980,000 Swiss Francs ($1 million), making it one of the world’s most expensive watches to buy.

Not only is it expensive, it’s also one of the most complicated watches Patek has ever made, according to Bloomberg. It includes a minute repeater, a mono-pusher chronograph, and an instantaneous perpetual calendar.

The watch was reportedly sold to Putin in London, but there is no date on the documentation. The lot doesn’t even have an estimate yet, but will be sold in Monaco in July.
