Real-life “mad man” Jerry Della Femina and his wife Judy have just listed their Upper East Side townhouse at 124 East 62nd Street for almost $10 million.

Della Femina, a legendary advertising executive, earned the nickname the “‘Madman of Madison Avenue” during his career. According to Men’s Journal, his 1971 memoir, “From Those Wonderful Folks Who Gave You Pearl Harbor: Front-Line Dispatches from the Advertising War” was cited as “one of the major influences” on the TV show “Mad Men.”

The couple’s white painted brick house at 124 East 62nd Street looks nothing like Don Draper’s apartment, but it comes with high ceilings, five bedrooms, a library, wood-burning fireplaces, an elevator and a planted, south facing garden, complete with a fountain and outdoor dining area.

Della Femina ran a eponymous restaurant in East Hampton until he sold it in early 2011. He also owned a Hamptons newspaper, The Independent, that he sold earlier this year along with an oceanfront Hamptons estate which he sold for $25 million in 2012.
