Calvin Klein designer lists sleek Park Avenue pad for $5M

Is it any wonder that Francisco Costa’s apartment looks straight out of a Calvin Klein ad? The brand’s creative director has just listed his co-op unit at 417 Park Avenue for a tad under $4.7 million, per city records.

Costa and his partner, horse trainer John DeStefano, bought the place in 2015 for $2.9 million, and put quite a bit of work into it (hence the large ask). The listing — which mentions the apartment’s “much lauded owner” — notes that it has three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, a private, wooden elevator, a butler’s pantry, parquet flooring and antique hardware. Melissa L Hernandez of Douglas Elliman has the listing.

Costa is Brazilian and has been the principal designer at Calvin Klein since 2003. Before that, he was an assistant to Tom Ford at Gucci. Costa won the CFDA award for Womenswear Designer of the Year in 2006.
