Manolo Blahnik reveals $5K pom pom and crystal booties

The Shoe for Prague (credit: Manolo Blahnik)

Manolo Blahnik has just released a shoe so decadent, we’re not even sure Carrie Bradshaw herself would wear them.

Designed by Mr. Blahnik himself, the bright pink shoes (if you can even call them that) feature pom poms and over 100 Preciosa crystal chandelier trimmings. They are valued at $5,700, though even the most avid shoe collector won’t be able to get her (or his?) hands on them. They were made for Blahnik’s traveling exhibit “The Art of Shoes,” which is coming to Prague’s Museum Kampa in August. Until November, shoe lovers can view this particular shoe at the brand’s flagship store in Prague, where it is currently on display.

Blahnik’s father hails from the Czech Republic, which explains his affinity for the country. In addition to this pair, which he has labeled a “shoe for Prague,” he also designed 20 limited edition Hangisi pumps using Czech lace and Preciosa crystal. These, thankfully, are available to purchase.
