Fashion designer Reem Acra lists lavish Chelsea combo unit for $5M

Lebanese fashion designer Reem Acra has just listed her beautifully designed apartment at 245 Seventh Avenue in Chelsea for $5.5 million, per city records.

Acra paid for the two units in the building separately, buying one unit (6B) in 1999 and the other (6C) in 2001. Together, they make up a 3,239-square-foot apartment, with four bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms (it is currently configured as a two-bedroom, according to the listing). It has a huge living room and dining room, walk-in closets, and some really elaborate art. This includes a blown-up photograph of a woman, which was once used in one of Acra’s advertisements. Sadly, most of the furniture seems to have been removed from the apartment. Ariel Dagan and Daniel Karp of Keller Williams have the listing.

Acra is known for her elaborate wedding gowns and her ready-to-wear collection. She moved to New York as a student to attend the Fashion Institute of Technology, which is across the street from this apartment. She also has homes in Beirut and Nashville.
