Gucci is launching a new home decor collection

Ever wish you could live in the Gucci store? Well now you (kind of) can!

The fashion design house just announced via Instagram that it will be launching a home decor collection, with furniture and decorative pieces all designed by Alessandro Michele himself.

To celebrate the collection, the fashion brand commissioned artist Alex Merry Art to illustrate them in beautiful, Matisse-like paintings. Among the items that will go on sale include a “Chiavari chair” with a red lacquer finish, velvet upholstery and a hand-finished embroidery of a cat; scented candles and incense burners; porcelain mugs; an oval tray and metal table; and velvet cushions. Based on the images, the collection looks dreamlike, colorful and fantastical — not so different from Michele’s fashion designs.

According to a press release, the pieces are intended to be set off other items you already own; “the collection of items for interiors is also intended to allow for a flexible and personal approach to decoration, bringing an accent of Gucci’s contemporary romanticism into the home.”

The collection will launch in September online and in select specialty stores.
