Lance Bass hopes to cut the strings tying him to his condominium at Chelsea Mercantile for $2.25 million.

The former ‘N Sync member owned a 1,300-square-foot one-bedroom pad at 252 Seventh Avenue for more than three years. He picked it up for $1.495 million, so he stands to gain more than $700,000 if it sold at the asking price.

The apartment has 11 closets and access to a shared roof deck in the 19-story building near 25th Street. Bass had attempted to rent it out, listing it for $8,500 a month and later $8,000. Katie Holmes helped boost the building’s fanfare when she moved there last year.

Corcoran Group brokers Robby Browne, Chris Kann and Jennifer Ireland have the listing.

In the past month, Bass reunited with ‘N Sync comrades at the MTV Video Music Awards and got engaged to longtime boyfriend Michael Turchin. [Curbed]Mark Maurer
