Fashion designer Elie Tahari found an $800K summer Hamptons renter

It’s not a record, but $800,000 is still a pretty penny. Fashion designer Elie Tahari found someone willing to pay the impressive sum for the use of his Sagaponack estate all summer, according to the New York Post.

Tahari house is 4,500 square feet, three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Built in 1998, the estate at 135 Crestview Lane also boasts 2.5 acres, a pool and 250 feet oceanfront.

It may sound like a lot to spend for the summer on what sounds a very run of the mill East End home, but Tahari’s place has the stuff:  last year, a hedge funder rented the spread for a similar price for July and August.

And the Hamptons aren’t his only prestigious address. Tahari acquired two condominium units at the Zeckendorf-developed 15 Central Park West for a combined $25.3 million back in 2014.
