What could you and your friends do with $100 million in a month? Stumped?
Well, take Saudi Arabia’s King Salman as an example and you might learn a thing or two. King Salman took his vacation days very seriously this year, with a flashy, over-the-top trip to Tangier, Morocco — Sex and the City style.
This was the most expensive vacation of all time, according to the New York Post.
King Salman spent over $100 million on 800 of the best hotel rooms in the city, 200 cars (in addition to the ones he brought with him) and hired the finest catering companies for a five-star, all-inclusive experience for him and his 1,000 guests.
Of course, Moroccan Prime Minister Saadeddine Othmani graciously greeted the king at the airport, according to Haaretz. His lavish vacation accounted for 1.5 percent of the country’s annual revenue for foreign tourism, after all.
He was then escorted to his 74-acre estate where he housed his company of ministers, advisers, relatives, security people and associates.
With sunny skies and summer temperatures in the high 80s, this multimillion dollar trip truly was a vacation fit for a king.
