An apartment has hit the market at the Beresford on the Upper West Side $3.4 million – but interested buyers are going to need to look past its distinct Natural History Museum vibes.
Nearly all of the apartment’s wall space has been covered with taxidermy by owner Gregory Speck, a socialite, journalist, and author. Speck collected the specimens from “museum liquidations, taxidermist castoffs and hunters whose wives wouldn’t allow them to hang their trophies in the house,” according to Curbed.
Halstead may of sensed that the hundreds of dead animals might turn off some buyers, and, hilariously, had the animals digitally removed from one set of listing photos.
