Richard Gere takes Hamptons estate off market

Actor Richard Gere, who listed his 6.3-acre Hamptons estate last summer for $65 million, appears to have taken the compound off the market, according to StreetEasy. The property most recently nabbed headlines in April when Gere slashed its asking price to $56 million.

Linda Haugevik of Sotheby’s International Realty had the listing for the estate, dubbed Strongheart Manor. A Sotheby’s spokesperson did not immediately respond to a message seeking confirmation and comment on the listing update. The listing no longer appears on the Sotheby’s site.

Located at 26 Actors Colony Road in North Haven, Gere’s spread includes a 12-bedroom, 12-bathroom, 12,000-square-foot main house. There are two guest houses, an outdoor fireplace pavilion, and a tea house on the lake that the estate fronts.

Strongheart was built in 1902, then later renovated and expanded.
