The “Wizard’s Chambers” in London

It’s been a good week for fandom. First, the proprietors of Highclere Castle, the countryside estate where Downton Abbey is filmed, announced that the mansion’s idyllic stone cottages are opening to guests. And now, a new Harry Potter-themed hotel has opened in London, allowing Muggles to live out their Hogwarts dreams.

Specifically, the Georgian House Hotel is offering the “Wizard’s Chambers,” a series of rooms modeled on Gryffindor Tower, Harry’s dormitory in the popular book series, according to Elle Décor.

The rooms feature four-poster beds, potion bottles, and cauldrons for $337 a night.

“When guests arrive we light candles and play music as they enter the Wizard Chambers — it’s a great way to give families a unique stay,” Serena von der Heyde, a partner at the hotel, told the Independent. [Elle Décor] Christopher Cameron
