Want to find a way to lure Nacho Figueras to your house? Buy this lovely “equestrian compound” in East Hampton, which just went on the market for $55 million. With 23-acres, there’s apparently enough space for a regulation polo field.
The estate isn’t the most expensive property for sale in East Hampton right now by a long shot (in fact, it’s only seventh in the Hamptons overall). The most expensive listing is media entrepreneur Chris Whittle’s 11.2-acre estate just ten minutes away, which he is selling for $140 million. It’s a lot smaller than the equestrian property, but it does have lakefront property, is closer to the beach, has a tennis court and a 60′ pool with a cabana. So that’s nice.
But the real grand prize goes to hedge-fund founder, Barry Rosenstein, who last year paid $147 million for a sprawling beachfront property in East Hampton. That wasn’t just the most expensive sale in the Hamptons, it was the most expensive sale ever.
