IMG is announcing yet another venue change for New York Fashion Week: They are launching NYFW HQ, “a programming space,” located at 451 West 14th Street, the south side of the building that houses Milk Studios and the now closed Seinfeld apartment pop-up, according to Vogue.
Fashion Week has already ditched the tents at Lincoln Center for the far less ephemeral venues Skylight Moynihan Station in Chelsea and Skylight Clarkson Sq in Soho.
The HQ will showcase art installations, talks and other events from September 11 to September 16, Vogue reports. But don’t expect inside without NYFW credentials, because many of the events will be invitation-only – although a few will be open to the public.
“Typically these sorts of events are happening around us, but no one has really corralled everything into one hub and had a broader, overarching conversation about what’s happening in fashion,” IMG’s Leslie Russo told Vogue. “We wanted to be the ones to introduce that conversation during the week.”
