Kim Jong-un is the biggest 1%-er in the world

North Korea is pretty much the opposite of a luxurious place for about 99.999999% of the people who live there. But if you happen to be Kim Jong-un, aka the supreme leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and guy who poses for quality photos like the one below, then North Korea is a pleasure palace that the billionaires in One57 can only dream of. To quote NBA player Dennis Rodman who visited the supreme leader’s private island in 2013, it’s “like going to Hawaii or Ibiza, but he’s the only one that lives there.”

So what, exactly, goes down there? According to the Telegraph, Jong-un has, among his many toys, a 200-foot yacht (in addition to an $8 million 95-foot yacht from LVMH); a ski resort that cost $32 million to make and features 70 miles of ski runs, a hotel, a heliport and cable cars; and, of course, a private jet. He has also spent about $30 million on alcohol, $37 million worth of electronic goods and $8.2 million worth of watches. What any one human being needs with all of that is beyond us, but we are beyond curious about how it would impact world events if Jong-un actually manages to drink $30 million worth of alcohol.
