Sprinklers attack Hillary at star-studded Hamptons fundraising event

Summer may be ending, but this morning brings a surprising — and unprecedented — amount of sprinkler-related news. First there was the regrettable Auschwitz, um, “mist machines,” and now we learn that a fundraising party for Hillary Clinton that Tory Burch threw at her $38 million Southhampton home was interrupted by, you guessed it, sprinklers!

As she went up to speak, the sprinkler system just could not handle the awesomeness of her lady power and decided to go off, drenching the well-heeled guests at the event who had paid $1,000-2,700 to attend. “These perfect Hamptons people can withstand 100 percent humidity, but a really good sprinkler system did the trick to ruin their hair,” a source told the New York Post.

High-profile guests included Anna Wintour, Martha Stewart, Donna Karan and Barneys owner Richard Perry.

Hillz, being the natural leader she is, told everyone to arrange themselves under the covered patio where she and other VIPs were gathered. That included Anna Wintour, who did not get a drop of water on her because it was probably too afraid. Though as we learned from her ice bucket challenge video, she is not actually water repellent.
