Russian supermodel Natalia Vodianova has just listed the “stylish” English estate located in Selham, West Sussex. Vodianova and her then-husband Justin Portman purchased the home in 2005 and lived there with their three children until 2011, according to Harper’s Bazaar.
At first glance one would think that purchasing “a 19-acre, four bedroom house converted from an 18th century watermill, a three -bedroom cottage, indoor and outdoor pools and a spa complex featuring a steam room” for a “mere” $1.36 million would be quite the bargain. Oh, but our eyes!
Pictures of the lush estate lull us into a false sense of security with its tranquil pond, lush green fields and earnest exposed wood beams. That is until we are visually assaulted by the rather baffling and garish tile covering the open-plan bathroom. The horrors! We can only assume the nightmares of that claustrophobic bathroom interior were far more of a reason to sell than the memories of a failed marriage.
