  • HEXAGONAL CELADON-GLAZED VASE YONGZHENG SEAL MARK AND PERIOD

    Where: Sotheby's, New York

    When: September 15 at 10 am

    Estimated cost: $150,000-200,000

    Why: The craftsmen who worked on this vase in Jingdezhen during the Yongzheng period learned to achieve perfect porcelain to please the emperor. If a piece was not perfect in every way, it was thrown out.
