Tyra Banks lists Los Angeles Spanish Colonial for $7.75M

The Los Angeles home that model-turned-TV personality Tyra Banks purchased in 2004 is now on the market for $7.75 million.

Banks completed a $2 million “head-to-toe” renovation on the house, insuring that the Spanish Colonial-style property in the “Beverly Hills Post Office” area was picture perfect. The Wall Street Journal reports upgrades included, maintaining “the original details such as a terra-cotta tiled roof and exposed wood beams,” and that “Ms. Banks remodeled the kitchen and added an outdoor kitchen as well as an outdoor living room.” She also turned part of the garage into a gym. Existing features include an outdoor swimming pool and four fountains.

While most fashionistas like Banks would be purely concerned with how many designer duds one could store in their walk-in closets, Banks’ also houses the ever-popular “safe room.”

While Banks wasn’t expecting to sell, she discovered a Malibu Hills property she felt was more her style (she also owns a condo in Battery Park City.)
