A new video ad campaign for H&M’s Modern Essentials collection featuring comedian Kevin Hart and David Beckham is the perfect combo of eye candy and real estate porn. Not only does it feature the hunky soccer player, but Anderson Cooper’s West Village home serves as the backdrop for the short film. So #blessed, we are not sure what to drool over more: a shirtless Beckham lounging in an ice bath on Cooper’s rooftop or the Beaux Arts building’s interiors.
6sqft reports the “CNN anchor has finally swung open his big black door” of his 8,420-square-foot converted firehouse at 84 West 3rd Street, which he bought in 2010 for $4.3 million.
Post-purchase, Cooper set about doing a massive interior renovation, enlisting architect Cary Tamarkin to keep the authenticity of the space, including the brass fire pole. 6sqft explains the building also went through a total facade renovation “which preserved the 20th century Beaux-Arts ornamentation and 9/11 memorial plagues.”
Noteworthy as well are scenes in which viewers can see Cooper’s spacious and relaxed living area and the 19th-century gym he created to keep with the original vibe of the 1906 building fully equipped with vintage equipment.
The only thing that could have made this collaboration even more titillating would have been a cameo by Cooper himself.
