Have a hankering to ogle some mind-boggling expensive/beautiful jewelry this weekend?
Then head to Bulgari, the Italian jeweler, which has set up a new exhibition of 40 pieces of fabulous jewelry from the brand’s archives in their Fifth Avenue flagship store. Called “Bulgari + Rome: Eternal Inspiration,” the exhibit celebrates the historic brand’s connection to the Italian capital, where it was founded in 1884.
According to The Cut, in addition to jewelry, the exhibit also features $1 million worth of rare Roman coins, ancient busts of Venus, as well as a silver cigarette box that Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton gave Joseph Mankiewicz, the director of “Cleopatra,” who famously had to put up with quite a lot of off-camera drama from the couple. It is inscribed, “To Our Favorite Producer and Wife / Lest we forget the glamour of it all / All Love / Elizabeth & Rich.”
The exhibit runs through November 22nd at 730 Fifth Ave.
